Most UV printers are used to print directly onto items such as phone cases, sport drinks bottles, machine parts Etc.
Flat bed UV printers are commonly used for printing flat items like phone cases, metal panels, plastic panels, glass, ceramics Etc. Multiple, small items can be positioned on the bed and all printed together as one print job.
It is also possible to print onto slightly curved items but in this case the overall print size for each item will be reduced.
Some flat bed UV printers can be fitted with an optional rotary printing device that allows printing onto cylindrical items like bottles and sports drink bottles.
Stickers - After printing has been completed the film is then contour cut then weeded to remove unprinted areas of film, then laminated with a transfer film. Just prior to use the protective backing is removed to expose the self-adhesive backing.
Signage - When large-format signage is produced there is often no requirement for contour cutting. The film is secured to the surface by removing the protective backing sheet.
Banners - Banner material is not self-adhesive and can be trimmed to size and then used
UV DTF printers are typically used for printing stickers but provide some major time and cost savings as compared to other methods.
The process of making stickers with a UV DTF printer is fully automated with the end product being ready to apply to hard surface items
