If you run an embroidery business or perhaps you're planning to start one, I'm sure it's not part of your plan to provide sub-standard quality or second rate service? Without automatic font kerning
This example shows how a block font would be generated without using automatic kerning. The space between the A, V & A looks too big.

With font kerning
This example shows how a block font would look but this time - using automatic kerning. Now the AVA spacing is much better. If you want to adjust the amount of kerning between certain letters, you can move the letters manually and then save your new spacing to the kerning table.

User refined fonts
This example shows that the ends of the horizontal stems of the letter E have been flared out. This is sometimes done when stitching at small font sizes.
You can change the shape and/or size of individual letters and then save those changes so that they are used automatically, but only when the letter size is less than OR more than a certain value which you can also choose.
Each time you make changes to a font, the finished quality will improve until you finally have a font which you are happy with at most, if not all sizes.

True Type font conversion
This feature allows you to create embroidered text using your computers library of true Type fonts. Use the font tool as nomal but instead of selecting the digitised Wilcom fonts (Names appear in Black), you select a True Type font from the bottom of the font list. True Type fonts have a small TT logo next to them.
Please note: Due to the large selection & different quality of Truetype & Opentype fonts available, successful conversion to embroidery cannot be guaranteed.
